In this update, the Wwise plugin's older interface is replaced by the more attractive and readable interface from the DAW plugin.
Extended Wwise Compatibility
The plugin now supports Wwise 2023.1, in addition to the previously supported versions 2022.1 and 2021.1. If you need a build for an older version, we can provide custom builds back to Wwise 2016 — get in touch.
New Sidechain Modes
Two new sidechain modes have been added to the Wwise version:
- Write Multiple Levels — Outputs four RTPC parameters simultaneously, each representing the level of one frequency band. This lets you drive other elements in your Wwise project from the plugin's per-band analysis.
- Read Multiple Levels — Accepts four independent RTPC inputs to drive each band's compressor separately. This enables independent sidechain compression across frequency bands.
These modes open up new possibilities for interactive audio: for example, reading band levels from the plugin and routing them to drive frequency-specific visual effects in your game engine.
